Just wanted to drop in and tell everyone that I have finally mad eit back to the site from a long break. Had a lot going on. Too many hurricanes when you work for an environmental responce and clean up company. Also had some medical problems that kept me from moving on the project. HotRod80 helped in that reguard as I got rid of the terminal rust bucket 78 and now have a 76. I will add some pics as soon as I get it out of the garage. Just a little report on progress, I will pick up the T350 tomorrow that was refreshed locally. The motor is generally complete on the stand, and the only thing keeping the truck out of the paint booth is definite decision on color. Again, huge appreciation goes to HotRod80 who lives close to me and has helped in setting everything up. Let it be said in the holiday season, that good friends are hard to come by but when you find one let everybody know just what a hell of a guy he is. Anyway, I hope not to have any more delays as Spring will be here sooner than we know it in SE Texas and I want this thing on the track. I will post pics before Thanksgiving and Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!!!!!!

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

I rushed it this morning. Let me look again and get it right. This tech stuff gets me sometimes. For some reason if you can't take a hammer to it it just doesn't seem to work!!!!!

Thanks for adding that picture. I meant to ask you if you still knew where it was. It is a great start as this was a rolling chassis which was good for me as my first experience with a LUV showed to be more project than I was ready for. Thanks CT and I will let you know when I get it running so we can meet up. Shoudl be about a month maybe less if the weather holds. I am going to get it running then it will hit the paint booth after some T&T. Thanks again Hotrod for all the help.

Well as usually happens plans get changed or life gets in the way. Finally recovered from surgery on the leg again and back to wrenching on the truck. Just a little update without any pics right now. Installed fan and radiator and welded studs in place so taking radiator out is easy. Took tranny mount off to triangulate and reinforce. Every time I put the weight of the tranny on it plate wanted to bend. now every seam is welded and it is solid. Needs to come off one more time becasue as it always happens I forgot to make room between the mount and pan. Only needs a little massage but after getting under there and taking it off again so WILL I!!!! Had a set of tall cirlce track valve covers and cut 1 tube down and will use expansion plug on the other for fill. Cut hole for PCV on right side cover. Going to go home tonight and touch up paint on them. Ready to run valves tonight if I get time. After this, just electrical and cuel lines and HOTROD80 is going to help me with that. Not the best electrician and if I can't fix it with a hammer it gets ugly sometimes. Just a little update and I will try and get this thing running in the next week. Then all I need is driveshaft to make it roll. If anyone knows where I can get a set of 6 lug drag wheels for out back in a 15x10 please let me know. I will eventually changed to COOL 8.5 10 bolt but for now just want to roll out. I bought a 5 lug conversion from a guy in Angelton and will run Chevy 5 lug up front. Need a set of 15x4 1.75 backspace for the front if anyone has a set. Send me a PM and I will try and stay more up to date.
