I have a 79' 4x4 and i used pertronix to upgrade to electronic ignition. You can also use a 81-82 luv distributor but make sure to also get the ignition module when getting one. (located on the ignition coil i believe). Ctmandu said that late eighties (idk the exact years) models isuzu pickups have internal ignition modules so it makes the install a little bit easier. Ctmandu may chime in later. But search and youll find plenty of info.
