Whats up guys? I am a new member and am happy to have someone interesting to share info with. Here is my story. I last project was a 1990 Mustang, 306 making 500hp. 11.20 1\4 mile and it was my daily driver. Due to a sad sad event I no longer have it. I recently purchased a 78 Luv, it's in good condition to be 30 years old but it does have a fair amount of rust. Mostly under the doors. The engine is a 350 but it hardly runs and drinks oil. I guess it's got the factory rear end, at 55 its turning about 3200rpm. Only paid $500 but the owner did not build it and could tell me nothing about what was in it. My plan is to at least replace the engine and trans and make it a dependable toy, but how far do I want to take it. It would be an awesome little ride with the fuel injected motor, 6spd trans and rear end from a Vette. But thats going to be one heck of a project and I really want to do that swap on a 66-67 Chevy II. I really like this truck, it is so light it would be very easy to make really fast. Even with the worn out 350 thats in it now it will fly. The problem now is that I am back in school and don't have the time or money to do much to it now. I graduate in a year so I have a while to plan. Any info, ideas or suggestions would be great, thanks.
