That is a neat video. Not to change the subject here. But I believe the guy (Koppien) driving the yellow Nova, is the guy who killed himself a couple years ago. That is too bad. He was a good driver too.

Looking at these plans, what type of bearing would you use? Would a motorcycle axle bearing work?

There was a guy in Texas that ran as "Slapper Bar Bob" I think that was his name... He was supposed to be a hell of a racer.[/quote]

Sammy , slapper bar sammy . H-town legend and rankin road hero . I can verify he was fast .

The link to the hotrods and hemis deal is just the basics . The Caltracs design allows the instant center to be adjusted to vary the amount of lift or weight transfer . I can move the instant center from about the front of the bed to about the front bumper . You can also adjust how hard you "hit" the tires .

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Not to highjack , but that dude had the longest winning streak in Houston street racing . Undefeated like 28 races . I don't think anyone has gone that long ever again . I got a vid of his 29th race , he was just out powered . It was at a meltdown in Navasota "the nasty " Texas .
