Hello i have a 1979 4x4 Luv and want to change my points to a electronic ignition running into dead ends at auto parts stores no one seems to be able to mach a electronic ignition to my stock 1979 1.8 liter 4x4 luv surely someone else must have done that somewhere :?: .

I picked up a G200 PUP/Trooper elct. dist. on Ebay and installed it a couple of weeks ago and everything that others were saying is absolutely true as it starts better and runs much smoother.
Check the info provided then search for parts that you need and if you go with the Pertronix setup then first check your dist. and make sure the dist.is not wore out.If you find a elect. dist. then it is a no brainer and there was one on Ebay a couple of days ago,so keep searching.

But read the info. first then decide.You will not be disappointed when you make the change.
