I need to replace the bushings on my swaybar on my 80 4x4.
I saw on US Auto Parts, there is a kit for the 2WD, but I wasn't sure if that would work
on the 4wd. That site doesnt' have the option to choose 4WD while doing a vehicle search.
If anyone knows please post a link and brand/part #

Thanks! 8)

When I first got my 4x4 Luv, the bushings on the sway bar were very deteriorate.
I don't remember what type of busing I bought, but they weren't for a sway bar. The dont seem to mount right. The upper mount has a big gap between the bar and the stud. The lower mount compress the rubber down and I'm wonder if that effects how it functions.

I'm going to post the pics of mine. I'm wondering if anyone that has the stock bushing can post pics of the upper mount and lower mount of their sway bar.

This pic may help, just blow it up a little.
Your Luv looks to be missing a few washers.

I was searching Napa website and found this:
Stabilizer Linkage - Front Suspension
Part# RPC 15999
Could this be the right parts?

I just got the Stabilzer kit (Sway Bar bushings)today. It's made by RareParts. I've heard of them before. The kit includes 2 bolts with casing (see picture), 2 nuts, 8 flat washers, and 8 rubber bushings. The bolt seems to be really long compared to either the lower or upper mount on the Stablizer bar.

Well no, not untill your on the freeway and make a sudden swerve to miss an AZ aligator (blown out tire carcuss). Then it might roll over like a Suzuki Samari.

I'm putting my Sway bar back on my Luv tomorrow. I was looking at the diagram that OzluvTrucker posted (also in Luv manual). If you look at the lower arm of the sway bar (see part number 12), just below the eyelet of the bar looks like another rubber bushing, but that part is not labeled. Can anyone take a look at your 4x4 Luv and let me know?
Thanks!

The kit you bought is a multifit for 2wd, all is not lost though. You can use some the rubber bushes and washers on your 4x4. Take a look at the pics below and assemble yours the same.

Ok, So I'm about to put the sway bar on, however I notice the top mount doesn't look like there is a enough length to have 2 bushings, washers, and go through the front plate on the chasis.
OzLuvTrucker posted a pic from underneath the front chasis, and I see two washers and a bushing, but on the top of the plate is there another bushing? Again the diagram shows theres 2 bushing on the top mount of the sway bar. See my 2 pics

Well I used the same setup as OzLuvTrucker (from his picture) with the upper mount.
I went washer, bushing, washer, then on top of the plate I just used a nut and lock washer.
If anyone setup is diffrent, please let me know.
Thanks!
