ok so my truck was running good!! then i put sh@# gas in it from 7-11 didn't think about the favt that any time i put it in my vehicles. so i was going to adjust the carb and check the timing..went to pull the vaccuum hose and the distributor was loose. ? so i set the timing adjusted the carb and it runs like crap. i tried putting it back the way it was but still runs like crap.so here's the ? if i loosen the distributor back up to the way it was what kind of damage could be caused by this. I have a guy coming to look at it tomorrow to possibly purchase i would like to get it running good before he does thanx ,Darrell

Could be a bent dist. shaft. Went you bolt it down, it is pulling on one side and not making contact in the cap properly. Loosen it up and run the eng. for a minute and see if it runs better. If the dist. is not too loose it will still just sit there. While it's running, look at the dist. and see if it "wiggles" around much.
