Has anyone done this? Can this be done with Chevy parts from other vehicles? There are SO many more choices in wheels using a 5-lugs.

yeah their have been threads on here swaping out spindles to a s10, or toyota hub assembly will work with modification and supposively a monza will as well? I am wanting to do this myself also... I have a 5 lug rear.

the last option buying the kit from aerospace company which comes with both the 5 on 4.5 or 5 on 4.75 I had it priced the other day for 710.00 for it through autofab.com (not the dragster setup) kinda pricey but great product so I am considering other ideas for right now.

Here is a post about swapping front spindles and leaving the stock LUV a arms in place. I think it requires making an adapter for the lower balljoint (so a S10 balljoint can be used) and drilling the top a arm for the upper S10 balljoint.

Then swap in a S10 rearend (it bolts in, I have one in mine.) Not sure if the driveshaft will work but i am getting mine cut down locally for $70.00.
