will a five speed out of a 96 isuzu truck bolt up or swap over to a 78 luv

If they are both 2wd and have the starter on the same side and are 4cyl engines it can be made to work with a few extra bits.


Thats provided the 96 is the Isuzu box, not sure what models/years used the T5 but ive got no idea about it.

A 5 speed out of I think 83-87 will only work then Im not to sure on the years. I have a 1990 5 speed in mine out of a 2.6 and its a hydraulic clutch.

So basically any gas pre 87 isuzu with a 5 speed cable clutch setup will bolt in.

thanks for the info Dan, i will keep that in mind going to pull apart tomorrow for tranny and dist. hopefully they never answer the phone so i can ask before driving over
