I was looking at the S&W 10pt cage for Chevy Luv and wanted to know if anyone had put one in and how well did it go in. I have never dealed with S&W and always ran Competition Engineering cage in all the S10s I have done. Also how well did it go around the dash or was there mods needed to be done. Thanks yall

O.K. , i just installed the S&W 8 point in mine . It is a tight fit . I think they leave alot of room for adjustment . The kit I got had "outriggers" for the main hoop that go from the frame out to where the main hoop fits through the cab . The rear bars also come with the same outrigger that go inside the frame in the bed for the back bars to land on , since the back wheel wells split the frame in the stock location . I deviated from there design just a tad as im 6'3" and needed some extra room . there are 2 bars that go from the top of the frame to the seam in the seatbelt bar . I put a single plate under the landing for the down front down bars and cut a 3" hole in the floor and frame tied to the plate . I did everything as light as possible , but used mild steel instead of moly . I was told mild is better for what im doing by S&W . All in all it is a well thought out kit that gave me new respect for chassis builders . Here are some pics .

I like the 5 point seat belt and a bench seat. :P That is a sweet truck. That's cool that it pulls straight wheelie on take off too. I bet it's a fun ride down the track. 8)

Thanks for the pics of cage, I am goin to order me the 10pt here in a few days and put in everything but the back kickers cause i just have finished sand blasting the cab today and goin to start the bed next weekend, so after i get done with that and prime it all and trim out the cab i will then put the kicker in, but i will get soe pics up of it soon after i get it in so other can see just how the kit fits.
