I've read here on the site over and over that adding an Accel high output coil will help out, espically if you already have a Weber, Offy, and Headers. Do I need to first add electronic ignition before a high output coil, or do I need to upgrade both at the same time?

And is this the coil we're talking about, or am I looking at the wrong thing?

In case the link doesn't work, heres the important information,

The coil would be an improvement whether points or electronic ignition. It won't cause you to crack the cab rear window with your head under the brutal acceleration, but it can mean quicker starts, a better burn of mixture in cylinders, more efficiency overall and maybe smoother running, slightly quicker response, maybe a thimbleful better mileage.

Often good to toss on a new condenser while you're at it to prevent points arcing from increased voltage. It's that much less to do later if you change to electronic ignition.

Take a look here: Accel's '82 Luv page

(BTW...I used the '82 Luv for that search because it had electronic ignition and the stock G180 1.8 Isuzu engine.)

The coil you found uthe (Part Number: 8140C0) is the Accel superstock coil I'm using. It's designed to boost your spark a bit and works way better than your around 30 year old stock one which by now is probably bad. Have you tested it with a multimeter yet? That coil works fine with points or electronic ignition in a Luv and costs around $40.00 in most parts stores. BTW..the plain non-chrome version (8140) is a bit cheaper...lol

The other coil that mytmouz is talking about is around $75.00 in most parts stores and is designed to seriously boost the spark in most 12 volt systems for racing engines - but you will need some fairly expensive wires and a better than stock cap and rotor for it to work properly. Most stock caps don't have brass or copper contacts in them any more and won't last long with a super coil. Plus it will burn out your points fairly quickly.

So if you want to use stock ignition parts - use the coil I'm using. If you wanna go total high performance and spend the money - then go for the higher end wires, cap, rotor, plugs, and Super Coil all from Accel. They even have a high end racing distributor (Part Number: 4765501 with vacuum advance and Part Number: 4565501 without vacuum advance ) if you wanna spend more money for that too.

Going with all of their more expensive high end racing parts will make a slight difference - but IMHO more in the amount of shrinkage you will notice in your wallet than anything else when you are still running a completely stock G180 1.8 engine.
