Haven't actually purchased mine yet, but this is what I plan to use...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WYSCO-22 ... .m14.l1318

This matches the Howe unit in the 'V8 Beer Budget' article here on the site. http://www.luvtruck.com/pdf/engswap.pdf

The Howe is still available too, http://howe.carshopinc.com/product_info ... 29167/342B

Northern also makes one, http://performanceparts.com/part.php?partID=431907

You'll need an external trans cooler with any of these.

I think you can probably go wider, the other guys here will let you know. I think I saw somewhere that a 28" can actually be made to fit, but you have to get creative...

I am running a Camaro Radiator. I would not use it again. It is too wide. It does have the automatic transmission cooler built into it. I need to find a better way to make it fit. They are cheap.and will handle a sbc.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

this is just a test cut and fit until the motor gets back, once i get it and the new pump/hoses i will do the engine install final fit of the other parts and connections.

Is there a radiator that fits the stock opening with out toooo much chopping? I want the upgrade but without to many body mods.

Oddly enough, my Buick 4.1 runs around 200* on a 100* day with an early chevy 6 banger fan and the stock 4cyl radiator.

I have had lots of problems with overheating until I bought a universal radiator from Jegs. It's a 28" wide x 17.5" tall. My advise to you is get the biggest radiator you can get in there, no matter how much you have to cut. I had one made to fit the hole, and wasted $250.00. Just my 2 cents.
