Has anyone seen any aluminium or chrome valve covers for a 4.3 Vortec V-6 with Center bolt heads? I can't stand the way the stock plastic covers look and had no luck finding any aftermarket.

Won't work with the Vortec Engine. In the Vortec engine the valve train is close to the top of the head and if you run the covers with the flat area around the edge it will hit, the stock ones don't have the flat area.

to the best of my knowledge and research, no one makes covers for the vortec. i have been told that the 3 bolt covers from previous motors will not work as to why i havent found that out something to do with the top of the head being different, as far as the fabricated covers those would look sweet in my book but are a little pricey.

I am talking with this guy, these may be the only set to work. Looks like I will have to bit the bullet.
