So i found a 3.42 for my stock luv. Is this too low? I have 4.10 gears now and seem to top out about 55ish. I know i will loose take off speed but this should help with MPG and easier highway speeds, right?

odd, i can make it to 60-70 mabey but it feels topped out. and i can tell my gas just runs out way faster if i stay at that speed.

lol

Well i got the headers right now, i think I'll get the gears and keep my 4.10s just in case. Weber is next on the list but prob a month or so away atleast.

Thanks

Gary

when my 4:10 went out i pulled on from my other truck and put it in (was supposed to be 4:10) any way went down the road and it would only do about 60 it i pushed it hard, come to find out some one swapped it to 4:56 gears... i would keep the 4:10 just in case and try the 3:42 and see how it goes... you may not like the sluggish take off... me i would like to fine something around 3:90 maybe out of a Toyota or something
