Well I got up at 8 oclock this morning and primed the chevette, and had it to the car show by 10 oclock. Heade dotu the high way, i finally got enough rpm to hit 4th.....and guess what, its not there, the syncro is bad.....GGGGGGRRRRR even though I'm only taking 2500 rpm at 55 in thirs so I'm ok with out it for now.
Anyways I pulled into the show and saw a nice empty space between a shit laod of honda's and VW's. These guys were overly fast and furious wanna be. I got all signed up and went to check out the rest of the cars and cam across a lifted up 2500HD, riding on 38's. After talking to him I relized he was a guy that hangs out on customshowcase.com and is a friend of the siblingrivalry gang. He came over and checked the chevette out for abit, as did alot of people, being it wa sin the middle of the rice and stuck way up above them....lol after that the girl in the car beside me started to back up and I heard a scream, and turned around to see, a guy layign on the groudn with this gals rear tire on his foot, she ran the dude over, and I jsut happened to be out of film. At 3 they gave the trophies and the guy in the HD got one, and I got a can of interior cleaner, and the dirties interior award...lol Wish they woulda gave me a plaque for it.

After the show I left and drove it to the mud pit,on the way ther eI lsot a universal becuase I hadnet tightened it enough, finally I got to the pit where I found a ford fiesta on a chopped down toyota frame, with 31 inch ag tires, dual cases, external roll cage, and 36 inches of flex. I watched him drive up onto a car and then flip it off the side, once again, out of film. My mom did show up later with a camera and snapped some shot sof the thign on the trailer. I dont know how most people get there flex but this guy had a leaf sprign bolted between the frotn hanger and the frame on the rear, and then the leafs hooked to the axle were bolte din the hanger, the rear spring shackle was bolted to the end of the spring that was between the frame and the hanger, so that when the axle dropped, the single spring on the top dropped and allowed alot fo flex.

Pictures should be in monday or tuesday, I will post them ASAP

hey that flex method on that fiesta you're talkin about is called a buggy leaf, it's just a upside down leaf spring that the other leafs attach to. if you make a disconnect for it you can drive it on the road with no problems

here's a truck with it that goes into some details --> http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/hottoy/mopower/

look in the suspension setup

Its the same frame as the one I boughtched bodies, and custom built the frame 1/2 way back, I also switched to a solid front axle and swapped in jeep axles, with a spring over conversion. I have about 5 inches of lift on it, by doing that.
