Think these will be OK . Not sure about clearing the firewall and are the passenger side too close to the tranny.
These are flowtech 1100's for early camaro's

if these don't work will try the early Novas 62 to 7

What did you do about the stock motor mounts? Are they in the way?

They might not fit from the first pic. The firewall on both ny trucks come over the tranny bolts. Hope it fits!

I found out that http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2DG9003&N=700+115&autoview=sku will not fit even with the stock motor mounts cut out. The third cylinder pipe hits. So if anybody wants / needs a set of long tube headers cheap I will be posting them in the Classifed soon, CHEAP.

I am looking to get either a set of center dump ram horns or go with http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=BIG%2D49100FLT&N=700+302965+4294908216+4294908198+4294925084+115&autoview=sku.
They look like they should clear the old motor mounts and the firewall. What do you think?

Yep tjose won't even come close on mine. The other ones sure look like they will work for my app. only not sure if they will fit between the tranny tab and frame. Alot of people grind off the tab on the 700r4 that the shiled fastens to.
I have looked and looked but missed those somehow.
I have a freind at orelly's that is ordering in stuff from the warehouse and I take home and check it. Ifit doesn't work they send thm back. Only problem with some they are pay up front if it doesn't come from the supplier and has to be special ordered. i can still send them back though.
Does the white ones have flanges to fit my square ports i wonder.
I also found my block huggers hit my new motor mounts with the front tube.
I am also thining about going with 2 1/2 ram horns. I have a set of 2 inch if you need them my son will sell off a 283

i will be selling my fender well headers if your interested , im gonna build me a new set of long tubes to go inside the frame , the only thing is you will lose a little turning radius but it was never a problem on my truck . ps try and post a pic with the full side veiw of the passenger side header cant relly tell from these pics if you have enough room to move the last two tubes or not

The 1100's will hit the were the firewall meets at the slope back area. My tranny dipstick actually sets against the firewall.
I tried 2 more sets of shorties last nite still no luck. probably have the guy on ebay in Arkansas build some unless i can get the muffler shop to do it. Is muffler pipe as good as regular header pipe.

i would say better cause you can use the aluminized pipe and it wont rust the headers on my truck are 10 or 12 years old and they dont have any rust to speak of , what is the guy in arkansas going to charge to build you a set , maybe we can work something out ,like i said before my buddy owns a muffler shop here in fulton, he wont build them but hell let me,hopefully in the next week i will be building mine , all i have to do is put my heads on and put motor in then ill be ready, so let me know

You mean like these? Why not weld clearance blisters in the firewall/floor board?

I know they don't look purty but when you can't find headers that fit you make your own and there are no headers to put a 455 Buick in a LUV so i built them but all i had was a wire feed welder and now i have a tig welder so the next ones will look a lot better.

As for the Chevy headers that are a close fit you can buy the tubing and rerout the tube or tubes to make them fit. Oh and has anybody tried fitting the tri-y type header?
