I use to own my own shop. Most of the 4X4s I have people had me build up then couldn't pay for them so I held them until they could. Most people have to learn the hard way. If you have the work done you can't have your toy back until you pay for it. The bus and D50 I'm not to sure were they came from but I have the title for them both. I might have took them as payment or something can't remember. I am trying to sale the 58 Chevy 55 dodge and the Tornado. The international was crushed about 25 years ago and grandpa gave it to me to make a trailer out of just haven't gotten to it yet. The front end on it was good don't know were all the parts are right now but would be willing to sale them as well. Pretty much everything else is a project. If anyone knows were I can find a 40 Ford convertible I might trade one of the projects for it. That list didn't dent all the cars/trucks on my place. I have some really random vehicles and a lot I don't know were they came from.

Thanks. My first squareback was a 71, a lady in a explorer ran me off into a tree. The tree won. Another 71 square, and now the Squareback and my fasty, that has a automatic in it. I bought it for my daughter(no std tranny) and my wife, who would rather it shift on its own. Otto, the fasty is a full 3 speed automatic transmission...

All your air cooled VW's are supposed to have names
Oh the squareback is lil' red.

Notches are neat. Technically they were never imported to the USA. There are some nice ones, and rusted out junk. The Type IV Ghia is a EYE popper :eugeek

I had a 63 Ghia with a 2331 and a Transform Tranny back in my VW days. I also had a 71 Thing that I put a Type 111 auto trans in and a 1914 motor. Then there was my favoriate, a 56 oval/rag that I made into a Baja (fell free to flame me) with a 1776 motor.

I am not a purest. The way I look at is, it's you car, so do what you want. That said I am a charter member of volksrods.com and we cut up all of them

I even own the yahoo volksrods group and the typeIII group. They are place holders for both to the volksrods site and the type3 email group mostly.

aka tex_rabbit at yahoo when I was a big VW Rabbit guy. Rabbit GTI, the original Hot Hatch car!
