Heya fellas,

Someone on another site I frequent is selling a luv and I was wondering if there was anything in particular I should look for.

here is the ad:

Up for sale is a 1972 Chevy luv. She is virtualy rust free except a small hole in the drivers floor board...All the rest apears to be surface rust...
Runs, But rough...maybe carb work needs done? Its been sitting a while..

Looking at it for a full restoration - he seems ready to get rid of it so I'm thinking more like 800$

HMMM... Decent body, coveted straight early valance... From what I see, the dash looks decent. Definitely a builder. I'm not much on the stockers, but the guys on here like the 76 up engines and trannies better...

I haven't seen it in person - but judging by the pictures the rear lower bed corner needs some work and of course the floor pan - are there any companies that sell replacement sheet metal?

Not really, most of the stuff is junkyard swaps or cut-n-patch. There is somestuff out there though. A little hammer and dolly work and a skim coat and that small spot will be good as new...
