i have a 1979 luv 1.8L auto and the tranny only has 1st and reverse no 2nd or drive
the guy i bought it from said it shifted fine when he drove it last but that was a year ago and sence than his son took off the cooler lines and pluged the holes with bolts and now i by passed the cooler and just looped a hose from one line to the other
do i need a new tranny or should this be an easy fix

also my friend has a 5-speed out of his s-10 will that bolt to my moter??

There is a high demand for 5-speeds. Maybe somebody knows if the S-10's 5-speed will bolt on to the G180. You also have the driveline to fit. Welcome to LuvTruck.com.

i have checked the fluid level and when i disconect the cooler hose that pumps out it pumps fine
so i think the filter is good so now i am lost

i did find out that the cadilac fleetwood has the th200-4r tranny in it but i do not know if it is a direct bolt in
and it would be nice to have overdrive

I would check to make sure your vacuum modulator is hooked up and functioning properly.

The Isuzu pup 5 Speed will bolt directly to your stock 1.8L.
