Looking for some feedback and advice . Here are the rules .
TEXAS EVIL STREET RULES

1. Single power adder

2. Drag Radials only, No ET streets or slicks

3. ---small blocks 410ci max-big block 470ci max

4. --conventional heads only--commonly available heads, no 18 degree ,splayed valve etc.

5. Single stage plate with 2 solenoids only (no beer can solenoids) 82 nitrous jet max.

6. 76mm turbo max (no intercooler or methanol injection systems)
prochager, vortech style superchargers with max inlet of 3.4 inches (no intercooler or methanol injection systems)

7. Small block 3200lbs, big block 3500lbs (will adjust later if these weights aren't working)
max 325/50/15 drag radial stock suspension only

8. --aftermarket components ok if in stock location

9. --front sub-frames and k-members ok if bolted in stock location

10. Exhaust with mufflers must be within 12in of rear differential.
3.5 inch max pipe size on exhaust.

11. Full interior with exception of rear seat for roll cage or mini-tub clearance

12. Full stock floor pan with no exceptions period !!!!! trunk floor may be clearance for cell sump only

13. --no complete trunk floor replacement. no wheelie bars. no lexan (*exception* for trucks with lexan back windows for roll bar, ok )
--no forward facing scoops--no stickered up cars

14. --no digital MSD boxes--no electronic boost controllers --no progressive nitrous controllers--

15. Single nitrous bottle only (no push type systems)

16. Fiberglass hoods only-fully functional street equipment (blinkers, headlights, horn etc)

17. --NO TOW VEHICLES TO STAGING LANES OR BACK TO PITS AFTER EACH PASS--MUST BE DRIVEN BACK FROM PASS OR BE DISQUALIFIED

18. --must pass through tech after every qualifier and elimination pass or be disqualified

19. --gasoline only --no exceptions on this as other fuels will give the turbo/supercharged cars too much of an advantage--no clutchless standard tans or Bruno type drive units .

These rules are based on a class in the Ontario street car association--this is a class they have had success with so i think the weights etc. might work . i would like to have it set up where if you win one race then you have to ad 50lbs for the next race--if you win that race then 100lbs before the next race--if you win three in a row you will sit the next race out. i think this will get a lot of people interested because it gives more people a chance to win and not have one guy beating up on everyone.

My truck fits this class . The old Edelbrock easy street class was a 6.20 ish class . I am looking at ordering a new set of Hoosier drag radials monday and melting a set of bars in it before the 24th . OH , and stepping up to an 82 jet :ebiggrin . I also bought a new set of drag shocks for a Chevellle and im modifiying them to fit the truck . The battary is going in the bed also . I have posted what the truck runs before and I think if I could run some 40's with my current combo and who knows what will happen when I get the big small block in with glide and trans brake . Let me know what you think and any ideas you might have to help weight transfer .

I think with a .082 NOS jet the turbo's will have the advantage. A set of the Pro 23 heads would be killer in this class though. A 396 small block combo on NOS with the Pro heads would give them fits in a LUV chassis since you can scale it and add the weight in the good places to make the weight. If you could lobby them to allow the coilover conversion since the 'stangs and LS1 cars can have the lightweight tubular k members you could be golden...

That's what I was thinking . I already had to cry for the lexan back window . And had a 2 race acception allowing me to run ETstreets . They took the ET streets away last sunday in person . I don't think ima get any coilovers . I imagine there will be a sea of mustangs there .

Dude , I had the feild covered by .4 . I could have watched them leave and drove around them if it wouldn't have broke . I wish i would have left the 150 shot on it . It went 6.80' s on that tune . This 82 jet seems tempermental . I had 20 people come tell me how high up in the air it was .

Are you racing at Houston Raceway Park? 1/8th mile races?
Sounds like a hell of a class.!!

Not to steal your post!!!

We had some S@#t go down at Little River this weekend. The True 10 guys didn't get paid, and after the Races Saturday they announced the cancellation of Sundays race. Big stink.. Maybe we all will be going down there. Us bracket guys will have to find a new place to race if they don't get this fixed. And there go all the track points  That will kill us with the IHRA Summit Series.

We wouldn't fit the class anyway. Scoop, Lexan, wheelie bars and electronics would kill the 85 Z28. Full interior and fiberglass would kill the 71 Camaro and forget the 67 nova fiberglass, interior, lexan, wheelie bars and electronics would kill it. And the dragster well that speaks for it's self... All of them bracket cars. Maybe its time for my Luv truck.... except I would get my a$$ kicked all the time :( Lets see if I could get the Reher & Morrison BB from the Z28 opps it's too big, and and we run engine only.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

The Hoosiers say for competion use only on the side . They are really thin walled and I think if you picked up a screw or got a cut they would go flat very quickly . M/T radial would be a better choice for a street tire . I need all the help i can get though . I always trailer to the race track , as I run it hard . If it breaks I just load it up and go .

are you spraying out of the hole in that pic and how much are you spraying? i have a kit that i was going to put soon but the way your truck is twisting i'm not sure what setting to go with, mines adjustable to 175.i have a ladder bar set up but i'm not sure which truck is getting what just yet, does the street class allow the ladder bar setup?
