i dont own a luv yet but one has been offered to me for a great price of 250 but the engine is not good at all for that price and the price of an overhall kit being 700 would it be worth it for me to get this luv. it is a 79 4 cylinder rear wheel drive and the body is in pretty good condition so please help thanks

With a good body at that great price I would say it is worth it. Even for parts it would be worth it. Good luck with it if you get it and welcome to the forum!

I got one that was a piece of junk when I got it, water in the engine, no coil, cab floor was full of holes, body had lots of rusty areas, and a few months later I rebuilt the engine and restored the cab. Now I'm driving it around almost every day. I also did the brakes, got new tires, and new shocks, and a wheel alignment. I got electronic ignition, and this truck does 80 smooth on the freeway no problem. I got a Weber to put on very soon.

Take lots of photos. You'll want to remember the experience.

8O if the body is in really good shape like you say then hell yeah 250 ain't nothing for a straight body and title.
besides if you're worried bout the rebuild kit price watch ebay they've had some rebuild kits on there.or you could put a hehehe :twisted: 350 in it :ebiggrin lol
