I am interested if anyone on here knows of an aftermarket frame that can be had or even some instructions on how to build one... I wanna in the near futur upgrade my luv frame, im not looking into a different motor just somethign that has a good IRS and a good IFS that i can drop my body onto... I'm not afraid of a big project so any info in my mind is good info.. oh and please dont tell me to drop a v8 or v6 in please i get enough of that crap from my uncle, i jsut would like a better frame that has the right stuff for good handling... ide also liek to keep my bolt patern since i have grown quite fond of my wheels...

You already have a strong boxed frame. Front and rear suspension can be replaced with whatever you want to use. Several people have converted the front torsion bar setup to coil spring. There is information on the internet on how to make your own frame. A truck is a truck... I don't know what you are looking to do. There have been Toyota and S10 frames used. I am not sure how much work it would be...

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

it is a truck but its also kind of a frankenstein and i wanna give it the soul of a sports car  thats what the megasquirt im working on is for, once i haev that sorted out its gonna fo EFI and if thats a big success then its getting a turbo for that little extra oomph... independant front and rear suspention, if i can even just get the rear setup like that it would be cool, and with the boxed frame i know its tough but i wanna make a stepside for it and use some fiberglass to make lighter parts for itthe main walls of the bed will be steel and so will the main cab and core supports but the doors fenders and hood(among other little tid bits) i wanna make fiberglass moulds and make my own, im just trying to get as much input either good or bad to help get me started in the right direction..

Modify what you have, I am sure it will be quicker and less expensive in the long run. Don't try to reinvent the wheel.
