I got it off feebay and looked in the sellers store. Just so you know, the alt. setup won't work on my truck due to the steering box. I may be able to use the bracket and fab something up. I have to mount mine low on the drivers side as the top and bottom of the passenger side is full and I'm looking at adding a vacuum pump set up and it mounts on the upper drivers side.

I can't try it on the passenger side, because that is where the crank trigger eye is located on my truck. It will work either way though, if you have the room. If you are interested, let me know. I just need to scribe a pattern out of 1 piece, then I won't need it.

It might work on some LUV's on the drivers side. My truck has fabbed motor mounts and really large tube fabbed headers. It might work with the hooker kit, I don't know.

MWAAAHAAAHHHHH! I fired it up today! My buddy brought his trailer up to pick up my Nissan truck and take it to his shop. It has a severe knock in the engine, if it's not the mains, we are going to rebuild it. While he was here, we fired up the LUV. I got a crank trigger set up from him and he checked to make sure I had it installed correctly. First try the starter needed shimming as it wouldn't engage. After shimming, it cranked within a 1/4 turn of the flywheel. SO far no leaks, and it idles great. $#*#$* stock front caliper is stuck though...

My bumper is skinnier than that bumper. There is a picture of it on my website.

Got the caliper cleaned up and back in working order, then I twisted the brake bleeder off on the other one. I really like the service provided by the big National chain stores. I walked over tp the brake section and could not find any metric ones. When I went to the counter the MANAGER said it must be a dealer item without even attempting to look it up. I told him "No, it just needs a little customer service". I explained to him that before approaching the counter I checked it on the thread gauge and determined it was a M10x1.0x30mm. I further explained that I did that while he and the 2 counterguys did their best to avoid coming over to help and that since there was no one else there but me it must be laziness, not a dealer item. I then asked him if it would be OK for me to use the computer system to see if they had one since it was apparent that none of them knew how. That went over like a turd in a punchbowl...So, I took his name to flame him on the corporate website when I got home and I went to the next big chain store up the street where I again waited on myself and found the item.

Here is a pic of the 1 wire alternator set up installed. I fabbed the mounting set up and used an alt. I got off feebay. All it needs now is the wire run for it.

I have been wanting one of these forever. I had to wait until I found a smoking deal on feebay. It's a dual nitrous bottle holder by NOS. The pic doesn't do justice, it's new and shiny...

Very cool , glad you got it running . I was worried for a while , all this talk of selling it and crazy racing junk ads .

The local chain store guys dodge me like crazy . I come in they send the new guy to me . Then there is one guy who always waves me over . He knows what going on and gives me his price . I give him a tip every time . It keps my prices good . My conversation usually goes like this .
Me: I need a set of 8- MR43lts delcos .
new guy: What year and model ?
Me: 78 CHevy Luv
NG: what size motor ?
me: 397 ci
NG: I don't show a listing for that .
ME: I gave you the part # what else do you want .
Or this one the other day
You know you have on Jap metric and one standard brake line here right ? ME: Yea it's a ford 9" in an isuzu . 8O

I'd still sell it, or trade it for the right street car. I planned on making a pass or 2 yesterday, but it was a rain out. After I do that, I'll probably change my mind...

Small local parts places are great. But I have had some big places have a few great parts people that can and will go the extra steps to help. A big one whose letters are O.R. helped. I need a vacuum modulator for my VW Type 3 automatic, she even went to a printed catalog at check. It was a Borg Warner part, and she was able to help. The tranny was made by B.W.

That being said, what difference does it make whether my Chevy SB had a/c or not for the motor mount....I want to strangle them. Every one used to know the part number by heart, and new right where to find it. You need to be able to do something other than follow the questions the computer asks.!

I made some changes to settle it down while the engine was out. I don't think it would take the spray off the line like the little 377 would. It will probably be slower on motor, which is all the next outing will be as I will be trying to sort it out. I want it to leave on 1 kit with no issues without a controller...

I went into one chain store that I like to call Auto Wrong and asked for a temperature sending unit for a Honda I had. The cashier (I can't bring myself to call them a parts guy) asked me 'what is that'.
