I say move to Nor-Cal, buy a bike and call it a day.

Emissions is what kills me.
cost of living is bothersome as well. Friend moved to the east coast, new 5bdrm home, 2 floors, 3 car garage, etc. $240,000. Whats a basic house in Irvine? HB? Lake Forest? $600,000+?

8O

Another one of my friends lives in Utah. Has his own warehouse he lives out of. all hes got is his drums, guitars, a 66 mustang fastback, a 72 challenger, 72 camaro, 88 camaro, 95 corvette, 99 s10, 05 F350 Superduty. Hes got a lift, his tool box he got from snap on after wyotech, he rocks a busa and vrod, a fridge, washer and dryer, brick and mortar made shower, i think thats about it. and the place set him back only $35,000. Pretty cheap since Ive been there once and its as big as a small store. lol.

Im taking a serious hard look at alot of stuff, and revising my ideals daily.

There is a old gas station abandoned in past bakersfield. City wants $3,000 for it. Had my aunt look into it. needs to be renov. but oh well. But still, wouldn't be able to enjoy a LS1 S10 Extreme, or a 327 Luv. SR20 240sx or whatever the future could hold. Cali is horrible dude.

I appreciate all sorts of cars and bikes, but its like, if it isn't domestic its crap. and cops reflect that. hell they even harass the neon srt and cobalt ss crowds. thats lame.

but we'll see. up north? its so barren. its different. Ionno. maybe I could find a way around the emissions thing. maybe find a older luv? mount the cab and bed and reg like that? could I do that? ionno.

f*(&*(%*&^$! so frusterating.
And this luv likes to piss me off :ebiggrin

love hate love hate love hate relationshipppp. Little fucker. lol.
:D :ebiggrin

p.s. did I say how much I love this truck?
Quick story. Other night, was getting coffee at 7-11. Guy in an old s10, maybe first gen for that namesake, parked next to me when i was inside, some kids in a 6cyl last model camaro? and in a old foxy box stand 5.0? where talking so much shit about my little luv, and that s10, :? :(

Guy in the s10 asked the mustang to run. Mustang had ugly ass over chromed back alley special, wheels. peeling tint, etc. s10 upon start up was v8ed 8O :ebiggrin he parked next to me, cause he hasnt seen a luv in a LONG time.

Needless to say he destroyed that mustang.
I wish I talked to him more. See how he deals with smogging :( damn it. :esad

I dig that shot of your truck. Is that a filter or was the lighting that color?

Actually the photos differ then from the ones taken with my dads camera, simply cause my uncle and other family members just came from Japan, and since they where visiting, my cousin brought me a new camera, it has all sorts of weird settings that have built in features, so I've been playing with them, I just use my dads more cause I know how to use it already, but my pixel count is at 10mp so its a pain with my new camera cause I have to shrink and play with sizes all the time, I can't read its instructions to well, my japanese isn't that good verbal or otherwise hahahaaa.

My cousin laughed funny last night and said why dont I take a VQ 6cyl from a totalled 350z and swap into my luv, :? yah as if its so easy. lol. And not to mention good motorsets run for almost twice what a NEW 350 in a crate would cost, USED. So I think I'll hold onto my pipe dreams.

Anyone try a 5.3 v8   :ebiggrin  :?: :!:

iCARUS, could I get a side shot of your truck in black and white. I am working on trying to figure out some paint jobs and my digital camera got drowned. (bad story). I am currently redoing a 1979 luv and would like to use digital paint program to try diffrent paint designs. Or if anybody has a straight side picture of a LUV that I could use that would be great. I will post all the ideas here for feedback.
This is what I have been doing. The only picture I could find of a side shot was a black and white small one.

Sure thing!
Um a reason I took pics the way I did was because the backgrounds bring out the car alot, in terms of its color and sticking out. So I hope the pics I post are helpful, they where shrunk 5x's for some since the image size is gigantic.

I dont know about an VQ motor.

Whats a luv weigh??? 1200kgs or soemthing whats that 2800lbs or so???

That would be less than a 200SX, SR20 would be more than ample.

Just EFI on the stock motor would sprite it up a bit and have it turn key reliable, set and forget pretty much.

I like those tyres. Old school.

I want that chrome bumper. lol.

Bob.

So a full house SR20 would tip in at probably 2600lbs and eat your BBC????

And still drive like a nanna car in traffic.

BTW im not big fan of nissans. You could use a 3age or whatever.

Bob.
