Well. i did it.
the rebuild was flawless. got the head on there yesterday and torqued it down. and I finished today after putting the cam and rocker arms and stuff back on. which was extremely easy. i thought it would be tough. adjusted the valves, fit everything back together and it fired right up. i couldn't believe it. normally rebuilds don't turn out almost perfect right?
well. right. haha i went to my work to get some new movies, i work at hollywood video btw

, and went back to the truck tried to start it and nothing. it turned over, but wouldn't start.
so we tried to pop it into first, second, everything possible so i called up my grandpa and mom so they came up and helped me out a little bit.
well. it turns out, after trying 3 coils, which i've had lying around for a year or so, that the terminals on the coil were hooked up backwards to the wiring? i couldn't believe that because it's been that way for 2 years, and ran fine, but we ran through 2 other coils and my dad being as stubborn as he was just said they were manufactured wrong.
but i turned the coil and hooked it up "backwards" and it fired right up and has been working like a dream. adjusted the timing, checked for leaks. all that good stuff.
purrs like a kitteeennn
but to someone who told me before, i should change the oil after running it for a while. should i change it again? thanks!
