What kind of exhaust system's are the best? Like which sound amazing. I love my cherry bomb, its great, and it's got a lower sound to it, not like a ricer, but I would love to have something that just purrs like a kitten.

so I'm thinking flowmaster, but then again maybe magna flow or something, i haven't really heard anything about them!

If you install a cheap auto parts muffler behind your cherry bomb, plus put a resonator tip on the end, it will sound much better and be real quiet untill you punch it.

That combo gives it the right amount of back pressure too that helps to retain your lower end torque.

I've been doing that on every vehicle that I've owned that has a 4-bangers in it for years.

if you dont have smog just go with the cherry bomb and no mufflers or cats and just a nice lil chrome tip

thats what ive done on three of my vehicles and they just bark...its awesome

but then again i havent done a 4 banger exhaust.... all we have is vehiches with v8's
maybe it wouldnt sound good on a lil guy...

my luv had a pacesetter header with 2.5in pipe back to a glasspack that dumped right before the axle. everything was all above the framerails, and it sounded goood.

the 2.5in exhaust and the full length header kinda got a little of my bottom end, but when i put the g180 head on the impulse bottom end, i gained it all back.

My 76 had pretty much what tumwatertaz described. A small muffler behind a glasspack with a dual resonator tip. It purred with a fairly low note, but still had a little noise when you downshifted.

yeah mine is just the cherry bomb and then i've got a resonating tip, a little silver one. its nice its got like another glass pack on the inside of it makin it louder i guess.

man theres this thing i can do, I don't know if any one else has heard of it or can do it with a cherry bomb, but like you give it gas, and im guessing its the back pressure or something, and then turn off the key, and as soon as you turn the key back on it just shoots a flame out and explodes.

im guessing its not too good for it, but my buddys dad did it all the time and it sounds like an extremely loud backfire. i've had a few people call the police because they thought they hear gunshots in my neighborhood. haha damn teenagers like me
