Gonna go ahead and swap my 350 tranny for the 700r4 out of the s 10 I just got rid of, Wonder how much I am going to have to change. Hoping I cna use the s 10 drive shaft since it has the right yoke, Will probably have to make a new mount . Hope the drive shaft will be the right length from the s 10 since I allready have an s 10 rear in my luv

The tranny mount is further back on the 700R.

have the motor and tranny out, was a real chore even with the whole front off. Gonna be worse getting it back in. My headers are a real bitch gettin off and on with the exhaust installed.
Before I put the 700r4 in I am gonna fix up firewall a little. Should just build a bigger motor before I put it back together. Sure don't want to go through this again. Hope I don't have to cut the cross member for the 700r4.

Got the firewall ground down of all the tabs and stuff and ground off all the stuff off the frame not being used. Gotta power wash it and repaint it. Then paint the firewall. Just using spray cans on the firewall but still might consider spraying it with rustoleum and hardner.
My yoke and drive shaft will work with the 700r4 from the 350. Looks as if the 700 is only an inch longer so all I have to do is redrill holes in my existing mount to match. The exhaust is my biggest headache with the shorties gettin them back on. Still looking into the hookers.
