Just wanted to say hello to all. This is a great site, I have found alot of useful info, and many other LUV owners!

My current LUV is a 1979 4x4, mostly stock besides a 3" lift and a set of 31's. This is the second LUV I have owned, and is currently my daily driver. I originally found this site while looking for comments about swapping the stock carb with a Weber, which I plan to do in the near future. I recently finished rehabing the cab floor, as all 4 frame mounts were totally rusted through the floorpan. While I had the interior apart I put in a set of bucket seats from a 199? Dodge Neon, they fit great with minor mods. I will try to attach a few pics.

Welcome to the site. Looks like a fun truck to go off roading with. Where abouts are you located at in Colorado?

Northern Colorado, Fort Collins area. We have lots of great places to go wheeling, just not real fast getting up the mountains in the LUV!

I am hoping to be out in that area next sept. I am going to try to qualify to go to Bandimere for the Summit ET Finals. I talk to the orginial owner (he is the one who made it into a drag truck) of my Luv a couple weeks ago. He is from Fort Collins. Gary Eisenberg. Would you happen to know of him?

That name doesnt ring a bell...

I checked out your site, your truck is insane! 9.8 ET, thats awesome! I usually make it to Bandimere a few times throughout the summer, if I see you flying down the track I will stop by and say hi.

no it hasn't been raced in like 5 years but i will be racing at bandimere this summer hope to see some luv's there

Are you going to be racing in the Division 5 Summit ET Series for Bandimere? I am going to for my local track. The ET Finals are at Bandimere in Sept. I am hoping to have my Luv out there then.
