I think you can still get a short water pump for the W-series Ford from Ford and the after market and with the right pulleys it will give you 1 to 1 1/2" more clearance.

A word of advice is i would cut and notch the front cross member to get at least 1" of clearance to the dampener.Just cut a notch then weld in some sheet metal and it will look like it came that way.

Your engine length is about the same as my Buick engine and i had to cut and install a dog house in the firewall to get the clearance for the radiator. You can also set the engine at 1/8 to 1/4"clearance at the firewall with no problems. Also make sure you shield the brake lines that are close to the exhaust system.

Keep up the work it is looking good.

Brandon you idiot, Don't you think it's time to push that thing out of the weather and start back working on it. The body is bare metal for christ sakes and yet you have let it sit and rust over the last past month or so. I want to see you least finish one of your projects and this Luv will be a perfect start for you. Someone is got to get out there and rip up the asphalt. Least strip the rest of the cab while your waiting on transmission parts. Heck if you need help just give me a shout. Someone's gotta bust Michael's ranger butt so maybe he'll decide to put his Luv truck back together. Then again they may be no hope for that.
