What does the gen light mean. I checked my haynes manual but it doesnt say anything about it. I'm assuming it has something to do with the alternator or voltage regulator. My turn signals stopped working when it turned on. If i let the truck sit and start it up it's off. But if i try the signals they work for a second and then turn off and the light turns on. Anyone got any ideas what could be?

Your right it has to do with your alternator or vg either not putting out enough voltage or to much. It can come on to when you have a short in the system.
I looked at the wiring diagram for the turn signal and you might be getting a short between the switch and the lights. The 12 volt power feeds from the fuse box to the turn signal unit and flasher unit to the hazard switch then to the turn signal switch and from there to the lights.
