Ive seen over on the v8s10.org site that you can take a rear end out of an explorer and it will bolt in to an s10, assuming it has leaf springs. They also show where you can take one of those rear ends and shorten the passenger side and use a stock drivers side axle to get a little more room in there. I was wondering if anyone has done this or knows anything about it. Im going with the standard 350,350 and Im thinking that the 8.8 with discs would be quite a bit stronger than the stock 7.5 out of the later s10 blazers. Any thoughts??

The 8.8 is with the 2 stock short axles is about 2 inches wider than the factory S10 rear, which is a couple of inches wider than the LUV diff....

My opinion save yourself the work and stay with the 7.5 bolt in swap if you are using a stock 350. It will be plenty strong.
Only my opinion.

After careful consideration I think Im going to go with the 7.5. They are cheap and plentiful at the pull a part
