I just picked up a re-programmed PCM from INTENSE Racing for my Cobalt, and some 60 lb/hr injectors. The PCM raised my rev limiter to 7500, removed the speed limiter, tweaked the air/fuel curves, got rid of the Torque Management, and reduced boost in first gear to 50% (to help launches).

With these mods, I can drop to whatever blower pulley size I want. Once I add my water/meth injection back on, I should have close to 280 whp

Then I'll upgrade my clutch and do my exhaust and I'll be 300+ to the wheels. 8O

I can't wait! The parts will be in a couple days.

It should be good for mid to low 12's

Is your cobalt super charged. My sons new one is. Says it is the last year for the super charged one. SOB really flies. Can tell when the charger kicks on. This thing is hot. Only drives it when it is nice out. Just now turned 800 miles on it.

Yeah mine is the supercharged one. Later this year the SS will come out with a turbocharged engine. Ours came with 205 hp stock, the new one has 260! They say it won't take much at all to hit over 300 with the new ones.

They go pretty good, I had mine to 143 when it was stock. That was where the speed limiter kicked in. My new PCM removes that though, plus I'll have about 50-60 hp more than I did stock, and my rev limiter is 700 rpms higher. So It should do 160 or better, but I doubt I'll ever take it that high. Ok, maybe once just to see what it'll do.

Its good to know my tires are rated for 180...just in case.

j/k
:D
