Use steel wheel off an early trooper. Or the alloys, ive got the alloys off a trooper on my 85.

You cant use a real wide rims because they poke out the guards.
And you cant use newer type rims that dish in heaps either because they will rub on the chassis/springs at the rear.

You could probably go with 16x6" hilux/Landcruiser rims but IMO they are way too heavy and make your truck drive like a slug.

On my luv ive got chrome 15x6" rims off a nissan pathfinder. They look to fit ok but my luv has a bent up steering drag link. I had new 16x8 alloys i was going to try and make fit but some bastard stole them.

Go with whatever just try it before you buy.

Bob.

any chevy 1500 6 lug will work I have a set of the steel 16 rims on mine and they fit inside the fender. Also if you loook for aftermarket rims look for a 6 X 5.5" bolt pattern. A number of trucks used them.
