Dash pad was trashed so I tore it out. So I foamed the top of the dash and tweeded over the foam and steel.
There is a place to get a replacement dash, it has topics somewhere in the forum. They are only made in Australia and run a pretty good chunk of change.

Well time to bring the thread back to life! I started back on the luv last weekend. Tonight I just shaved the "Chevrolet" outta the tailgate so the ass end will be completely smooth. Well here is the To-Do list by Spring so be ready for updates:

- Stock floor body drop(frame painted green)
- New rear setup
- Sheet metal bed
- Suicide drivers door
- Engine/Trans overhauled
- Shaved Firewall
- Trailer Fenders in front
- A little bodywork
- Maybe a turbo? Not sure yet

Gotta update, all cross members are out, my buddy is helping me w/the sfbd and made the transmission mount, is removable just in case somethin needs worked on. The U's in the cross member are for the dual exhaust to go through, and its hangin low because the frame hasn't been Z'd and doesn't have the bottom steel tubin. Got the engine and transmission out also, took the engine today to the engine shop to get all re-done, and after we mock up for the drive shaft hump/4link cross member the transmission will also be sent out to get re-done. Just ordered tubin for the frame, and some misc. stuff, updates will be comin

The total body drop is gonna be 3 1/4" to the pinch. Here's some progress from this weekend. Got the driveshaft/4-link crossmember made and mounted, redid the axle/notch brackets, changed the upper 4-link angles, welded on the tubin on the bottom of the frame, cut off body mounts and lowered the rear mounts.

Next weekend will be cuttin the stock frame from behind the cab to the Z, like the picture shows below, then weldin flat strap on the top. Then mountin the cab back on line up the front mounts and mark where they will be on the frame, tack them in place, set the body back down on the pinch :D

looks good but the bars at the new cross member is not the same on the rearend the inside is up and the outside is down so the part at the new cross member needs to be inside down and out side up so they are the same but opposite i hope you see what i mean sometimes it is hard when you have been staring at it for to long

I kno what you are sayin but everything works fine, the bars are the same length, they have adjustable ends, so the slightly different angles on the rear end are equaled out after adjustment, believe me, my buddy knows suspensions, here is a pic of his custom canti-lever on his 78 c10

Didn't work last week on the Luv, other stuff came up, so today we did the Z, cut the rest of the frame off and plated it, put the new tabs on the 4-link, and cut the front of the core support off. Tomorrow cab will be on for fitment for front body mounts, should have pics tomorrow layin pinch
