Went out to the 1/4 mile track today . Friday was the season opener . It was crowded . I got one pass all night . It was allitle cold and the track went away after the sun went down . It blew the tires off at the hit and went 1.78 60" . This is on ET streets . On a slick it will 1.49 . Anyway 11.36 @118 . They chewed me out again and told me I better get a bar in it quick . I'm worn out and goin to bed .

Lucky, our tracks dont open till end of Feb. Good run though, its tough when it is cold. And yea at my track you get one warning about the bar and they wont even let you in the pits anymore. But its not to bad I have a simple 4 point with door bars and they said good to 6.50. When I get that fast thats it for me, I dont like the bed bars in a street truck. :D

The track was O.K. these trucks just don't transfer weight like a Camaro with a big tire . My highlight of the night was when a 8 or 9 year old boy came running , and I mean full on sprint , to my truck as his father was trying to catch his breath . He ran up to me and told me " Mr , I don't care about all these other cars , but your truck is the fastest truck i've ever seen . It really hauls the mail . You ran 118 mph and that's fast " . This truely touched me . It made all the hard work worth every second and every penny . There where cars making 4.20 1/8 mile passes and this boy was so inspired by my little street truck that he had to tell me in person . I don't mean to get personal , but I don't have any children of my own . I do have a wonderful step daugther that i consider my own , but no tricycle motor to call my own . So this made my year ! On a lighter note my engine builder was there , my nitrous tuner was there , it was a good night . This truck has changed my life . It truely is "famous " , it is known locally , I am only the driver . Sorry for the rant .
