Okay so my 82 luv is now in peices undergoing a makeover. the question I have is how do I pull off a clean body drop. I cut the rockers clean off so they don't hang lower than the bed (looks way better) and I know the stock floor body drop will leave me with even less space in the cab which defeats the whole purpose of the extended cab desighn I have been putting together. So what exactly is a traditional body drop and how do I go about it. I would like the body to sit about 1/2 inch higher than the bottom of the frame. But with the rockers gone I got a long ways to go. Any suggestions?

You have the b/d's mixed up, stock floor is the way to go. New frame from the firewall back. Traditional is when you cut the floor and let it drop and build up the floor.

So what if I were to cut about 2 inches out of the frame section under the cab and weld braces inside. Then do about a 2 inch traditional body drop? would this work without giving up too much cab space?
