Just wanted to say hello. Been visiting this site for awhile, and there is so much good info, decided to register. I have a '75 Mikado with a 283 and TH350. My dad put it together back in 1985 and used it as a daily driver until he retired. After that it pretty much just sat most of the time. I inherited the truck after he passed away, and now it is back on the street where it belongs. Fun as all getout to drive, and with only headers and 18 year old glasspacks for exhaust, it is a kick setting off car alarms.

It was one of Dad's old race engines that he had sitting around from his circle track days. Can't find his notes on what he put in it, other than machine shop receipts for boring .030 over and rotating assembly balance. It has an Edelbrock carb and Performer manifold' and an old Mallory dual point distributor. Haven't been able to find out what pistons he put in or what was done on the heads, so I don't know what the comp. ratio is, nor do I know what cam he put in, although it has a nice little lope to it.

Welcome to the site. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you won't find a better Luv truck site out there. The cool thing is the guys on here aren't a bunch of asses that jump you every time you have a question. It's cool, it's informative, and pretty dang friendly (unlike some of those "other" sites)! Damn, who's ass am I kissing? 8O
