I found something interesting, and was wondering if anyone can confirm/deny this info.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_engines_ ... ckup_motor

I have run the Mitsu 2.0 and 2.6 and was very happy with them.
I have two 2.6's right now,one with an auto tranny, and the other with a 4 speed.
Not planning on swapping out the engine in the LUV at this time, but figured it mightbe useful info in the long run.

No...that info is incorrect...the only direct replacement for an Isuzu engine is another Isuzu engine...the Mitsu and Isuzu 2.6's are totally different..and NOT interchangeable

Yeah, been out doing some comparisons on the 2 since I posted this.
Entire drivetrain would be relatively easy though.

Basically it would be like trying to do a direct swap with a Chevy (Isuzu) engine and a Dodge (Mitsu) engine. They're like apples and oranges.

A complete drive train swap would be possible though.
