Well it's repairable. My son rear ended a Dodge pick up on the 57 fwy near the Honda center. ( formerly the Arrowhead Pond). I'll post a pic soon. (of the truck, not the Pond :D )

He was driving his (mine but it his) 1980 white 2WD Mikado.

It bent the hood, broke the grill and pushed the core support and A/C condenser back a little. It kinked both fenders at the first bolt into the core support. The bumper and all lower than it, is all untouched.

I guess it only dinged the Dodge. When my son said insurance, the guy couldn't wait to get out of there and probably won't be calling. So we got off easy, I think. Just going to be needing some body parts after the holidays. I'm going to make him live with and look at it for a while, as a reminder and help learn his lesson.

Edit....
Yea, he is fine. He is pissing me off right now though. He doesn't seem to feel too bad about it, and all day never even bothered to ask about fixing it or even look at it. And THEN after I got done lowering the back of my 78 LUV, he asked if he could drive it to school tomorrow! I told him he's back on the bus for a while.
Here are some pics.

Glad he's ok...

I went head on with an 18 wheeler back in 93 ( I was driving a 91 Ford Probe). Sorry I meant to say I was driving a "Paper Cup"
I Died on the way to the hospital. Woke up three days later to find staples in my gut due to a spleen removal and a few other repairs.

A rod and pin in my hip. And a screw in my crushed ankle. They brought me paper work to sign giving them permission to amputate my foot in case in got infected. I told them what they could do with they're paper work... and I still have my foot for the record...dang cut happy doctors. Hell they would probably have cut off the wrong one.

Ten days total in the Hospital, then hobbled out with a cast on my leg. 8 weeks later got a hacksaw; cut the cast off, pulled the staples out myself and kept on going. I was lucky. That same weekend in that same hick town there were 5 other people that were killed in car accidents.
That was Hwy 77 in Texas. I was told later that area was nicknamed "Deadman's Highway" Gee I wonder why?.... 8O

Like I said I'm glad to hear he was OK!! :)
