Everyone has different uses for a custom motor bracket, like me, I just want a motor I can cruise around in, drop a gear and dissapear. . Some people like RPOZ11 want to use the brackets to harness the 600 hp motor that we built.

I think RPOZ11 didn't come claiming to have the magic bracket, and if you really asked him or I you would figure out that we are trying to build a quality bracket that is worthy of being put in anyones truck for a less than "Hooker" price. We are trying to do a community service here, not rain on yours.

I find myself returning to a quote that I posted months or even years ago. . . "Can't we all just get along ?"

P.S. I wonder what my special name will be . . . Snake Oil Public Relations if I am lucky haha

"If you really ask him"?

I thought that's what I was trying to do? All I got was dead air followed by "show me images of where your having trouble".

You've given us more information in your one post than he has in this whole thread. Maybe you should be the exclusive PR guy?

For the weld on brackets and/or trans mounts, Hooker used to have everything. I don't know if they still do. The guys over at v8luv.com are working on selling the brackets too.\

What do you wish to see that we have manufactured?

[quote="Ben"]My point is, by moving the trans forward or the engine down, so that the bell housing doesn't hit, you create other problems. quote]

What regarding "you create other problems" are you suggesting?

You can put your engine in however you like. Just don't come around here acting like you figured out the magic bracket and we all did it wrong.

I dont recall where I stated "the Magic Bracket" was my wording.

I am seeing where you suggested my product.

Am I against YOUR rules for responding about my product that you are sharing with everyone here?

As I recall, your post here was for Jason.E.Duke 's needs, not ours, but after all this is about suporting your members here.

I am sure you all will be very helpful in providing Jason here with sufficient answers regarding his needs.

Enjoy!

Ladies and Gentlemen:

A wise man once said "Anything involving cars always has three factors, science, luck and voodoo. Anybody who claims to have mastered any of the three is talking nonsense" WE never claimed to make the magic bracket, we just put a whole lot of R&D into what we have done. We HAVE sat SBC's with all of the different transmission compilations that RPOZ11 has stated, no BS.

What we all really need to remember is we are not here for personal gain or personal vendetta. We are all here to help, aren't we ? So Ben, I thank you sincerely for so humbly mentioning our names, it is a true honor. I mean to even be shoulder to shoulder with LUVTruck.com is an honor, and to think we have only been around less than a year now.

If anybody has any other questions with fit, filiment, or application you may source more information at the website Ben has listed above.

Thank you all again,

Austin

8O I kinda got lost reading all of this thread but here is a little help in the thought prosses.

Unless you are going for a lot of power and drag racing the TH400 is way over kill and takes more power to run then the TH350 plus it weighs more and the bell is slightly larger as it is built for a 12" converter

As for for the bell housing to firewall fitment, on my truck when first built i used a 283 with a 4spd. and had no clearance problem and i used a piece of 3" channel iron for the trans mount.

In the truck now is a 455 Buick 4spd. and i built solid motor mounts as well as a removable trans. X-member.This also included changing from the cable clutch to a hyd.

So any thing can be done if you are willing to do the work and most of us on this site have. Also motor and trans placement in the truck also dictate trans mounting as well as exhaust and and radiator.
