Cool commercial! I was too little to even remember or care about a LUV commercial on TV. lol at the 34 mpg highway. I think that is a little high!

The speed limit then was 55 mph. So I could believe a real 30 mpg maybe, but you never get what they put on those labels anyway, not even these days.
I don't remember the add from back then, but it's cool to see now.

did you guys see that chrome rear bumper? I have never seen one of those before.....

do you know what year commercial that was? Looks like the new bumper style and single headlights....that red truck had the extra bumper pads on the front bumper also.

were those options that were available in the US?

Think the Mighty Mike was a package deal kinda like the Mikado.

4x4, stripes, buckets, etc. And the Mighty Mike decals :)

it was just a sticker decal option as far as i know.. they also had "sport " decal option

I actually had red factory buckets in my '79 4x4 Mikado. The buckets are now in my wonderful firewood LUV! :wink:
