Hi everyone! I am looking for some help with my 1982 chevy luv diesel truck. My truck is completely rusted out from living in Kansas its entire life. It has 177k and is still running very strong, although I am about to fall the thr floor boards in the cab! the bed is also in bad shape. It looks like i am going to have to put the motor in something else. I was wondering if anyone knew what the isuzu engine would much up with. I really want to put it into a small 4wd truck or suv like a blazer or something, that would be ideal for me because I am a hunter. Any suggestions?

We have a few guys over at IsuzuPup.com who have put the C223 into later model Isuzu trucks (and Rodeos, and Amigos). The motor only makes 58 hp (give or take, depending on the year), so weight is a concern. If you want 4wd, you will be very...challenged...on the highway because of low gearing and the 4,250 RPM redline for this motor. There were S10's with the C223 motor, but they had a unique bellhousing to mate the motor to a Chevy transmission. They also had a unique water pump, so that Chevy could use the standard radiator from the gasser.
