Yeah, it's a '72 Commando (C104).
Scramblers (also known as CJ8) like Jeepsters (C101) have the classic 7 slotted grill.
Wiht the exception of the spring over lift, wider than stock axels and the rear fender flares, mine appears stock...

Next we have this car:

But you must also identify and describe what "car" it's designer is famous for coming up with the original concept for that is currently being developed now and how many of them have been sold.

That should keep you all busy for a while... 8)

Any relation to the Mesherschmitt trikes?

A hint maybe? US or European inspired?

Nope..it's not any relation to the Mesherschmitt trikes.

Ok...here you go:

"For those that haven't heard of it, the (censored) Car was a teardrop-shaped (least air resistance), 3-wheeled, rear-wheel (single) steering, 20 foot long, aluminum bodied auto, designed by (censored) in 1933 to achieve maximum output and service with minimum material input. It was about 6 feet tall (kinda like a big van), seated the driver and 10 passengers, weighed less than 1000 lbs., went 120 miles/hr on a 90 horsepower engine, and got between 30-50 miles to the gallon of gas. (censored)referred to it as the "(censored) Car", "(censored) Vehicle", and "Omni-Medium Transport" since it was ultimately intended to go by land, water, or sky. Only three were ever built."

And the current "car" I was referring to he came up with the original concept, but someone else is currently building and developing it. It will undoubtably completely change the way we all commute once it goes into final production and sales hopefully in approximately 4 years, according to the current developer.

This inventor also came up with a very unique house that is currently being restored to be on display at the Henry Ford Museum. It is also the origin of the geodisic dome designed houses that were popular in the 70's and 80's.

Find the odd teardrop shaped car (and while you are there you can watch a couple of old black and white videos of it being driven), check out it's designer's links, and you will have it all.
