There are a few ways, find a local machine shop to re drill (good luck, most wont) buy the areospace kit, get a set of rotors from a early Toyota and have a machine shop make spacers or wait until BLACKLUV 80 finishes his S-10 swap for the details of what is involved.

Or you could get a pair of custom billet hubs machined up and use the style discs that slip over the wheel studs. Then make mounting adapters for the calipers.

I got the Aerospace setup this winter and it bolted right up. I have front drum brake setup that I may sell. It has been drilled for 5 bolt and is complete except for the castle nuts that I had to use on the new setup. Should know more about selling them in a week or so.

Hotrod80, wicked73LUV posted similar info in your Toyoat rotor conversion sticky, The following is a paste of chevyluvss reply, sorry I don't know how to use the quote from one thread to another.

Thats actually what im in the process of doing right now. Just swap the ENTIRE spindle/hub assembly over. I'm using an 87 Toy Hilux p/u assems. The lower balljoint was an exact fit. You just need to ream out the upper hole to fit the luv ball joint. I have a good set of Snap-on carbide hone bits that did this in a jiff. My one issue to work past is the tie rod wants to go in from the bottom up, so I might dig some outers and inners up that have an adjustable sleve between them. 60s-70s chev car front ends have the tie rods im thinking of.

Left click, either cut or copy and then paste it.

Hi, yeah, looks pretty cool, and was a piece of cake. I THINK WE MAY BE ON TO SOMETHING INCREDIBLE HERE!! I haven't updated my post lately because its taken me a month to get around to getting some wheels for mock-up. I'd like to post some pics so you all can see, just dont make fun of me! I'd like to figure out a real simple tubular lower control arm, get some coilovers and ditch the tortion bars and strut bars.

Think about it tho....this could solve everyones 5 lug woes

you can see how that lower control arm is going to be a bouger...I'm thinking on rotating the strut arm 180 and actually attaching it to the bottom on the arm. Little here, little there.....i'll post some more pics once i get the wheels on.

ok, here's the update...

Got the toyo spindle assems on, but it was actually kind of a pain. First you mount the toyo BJ on the LUV lower control arm, so you have to drill a hole thru the arm for bj hole #3 and some other little things. Anyways, maybe if more people are interested ill go into more detail, but it works great! I slapped some stock jeep rims on there with some thin tires. All my clearances look great, no prob turning. I aligned it myself on my machine and everything was adjustable just like stock.

I kind of feel like a did a little bit of a hackjob, i mean, it took: the bench grinder, my die grinder, my cut off wheels and a couple spot welds. With a lift it took 3 hours for the first side and 2 for the second. I dont like the LUV upper control arm tho. I'm doing some research into SPC to see if i cant find one that will actually come UP front the mounting position, but bring the ball joint to enter the spindle square and even.

look ma, 5 lugs! All done with the conv, bought some craigies for the front and found some old tires in my basement. I'll have to go with a thinner tire, then I can knock down the tortion bars. I'd like to streamline a procedure and a parts list but no one really seemed interested.

wow, thats kind of a bad pic, sorry. What you cant see is how nicely they tuck into the fender well and its on an incline

It's been raining here since last night and i;ve been trying to get out to pull a wheel off and take some detailed pics. Im unfortunatly not very good at taking pictures during a project. I tend to "zone" a lot, you know, not even threats from your wife can get you to come home from the shop.

I think the one step that needs some outside ideas is my lower balljoint setup. Its stout, but i was trying to think of how to do this for all you LUVERS out there who may not have a lift or a welder, or a big selection of tools for that matter.

The TOYO B/J will mount on top of the lower control arm with 3 holes and the stud goes up. The Luv b/j mounts on the bottom of the lower control arm with the stud pointing up, not to mention the strutbar (or strut arm) is held to the lower control arm with the 2 inner bolts of the b/j. so i drilled a hole through the arm just south of the weld for the lower shock mount, this serves as 3rd hole for the toyo b/j and you can still mount the strut arm ontop and use the original bolt holes for it too.

I'll stop there and post some pics. A helpful hint for those who want to do this too, is get some 3/8 i/d steel piping to cut for shims. Like i said, ill post some pics and you'll know what i mean.

hey and thanks for the interest by the way!

The pickup front end changed to lower balljoint pointing up in 87-88. I wonder if this balljoint has the right bolt spacings???

Ive got stubs off said pickup in the shed with lower balljoints attached. I also have new lower balljoints here for my 79 luv, when i get a chance i will check it out and see if they are similar.
