Hey guys, i'm pretty new to this form and to the luv v-8 swap. I have built my own tranny mount and motor mounts but i'm haveing trouble with the exhaust side of things. Is there any manifolds that work well with this swap? I'm on a tight budget so instead of buying 400$ headers i have decided to run manifolds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I can almost see the numbers on it, I'll check with sokoji on the PN. He cut the passenger side downpipe to get the exhaust off when pulling the engine. This photo is of the manifold that was on the engine when it was in the truck.

I think the one here would work better...

When on a budget for your motor problems try looking for the 307 chevy with a cheap rering and bearing and a set of 305 (58cc) heads and a performer cam and intake it will supprise alot of 350 guys and it will last a long time.

Hope that helps, here's the thread on a cheap build up in progress...

Good luck with your truck :)

I had home built mounts in my luv when I bought it. I think the motor and tranny came out of a mid to late 60s Impala along with the small style ram horn lookalike exhaust manifolds

Got the PN's for the manifolds that were on my truck when the engine was pulled. There are photos on my Shoestring V8 thread.

3866183 LH3 GM, Driver's side
3905364 RH11 GM, Passenger's side

I never saw the truck with the engine in it, but the dual exhaust system is still in it, and it looks professionally done to me. Either way, the truck ran with a 350/350 and these manifolds...

Good luck in your search 8)

From what I know of these...

GM used these ram horn manifolds in GM trucks from 67-72 and maybe a few years prior to 67 but I cannot validate this.

Note the kickback at the collector flange area was unique for these.

They come with smog and NO smog holes.
