Not at all you know the tab that hold the inner fenderwell liners in (the plastic ones). I had to cut that off flush with the pinch molding. And off corse cut the inner fenders to clear but it took alot of work and fabed up parts because no one makes S**T for the luv. I stil have the 8" notch/bridge kit and the 4-link to install as well as the new upper control arm brackets.

farmer joe, The truck will not lay the frame with the current setup. To lay frame on these trucks is really hard the front frame section isn't the problem its the fenders and the inner fender supports and the master cylinder/booster. The trucks cross member is about 2" off the grond now and I still have the 383 to put back in it. I have to have some clerance for the headers and the exhaust.

Bud, I still need to install the bridge kit and 4-link. I will be centering the wheel for sure when I set it up. This thing took alot of fab work to get the 20" wheels to fit and to get the truck layed out in the front.

A 383 and 20" rims, and no kudos? I think it looks pretty sweet! Looks like a lot of work so far, you've got to be excited about getting it on the road. Good luck with it :)

Thanks alot. My father owned this truck for the past 18yrs. I can't wait to install the 2 grand in parts sitting in my garage not to mention over 5 grand in the motor and tranny. I hope to have it on the road by spring. The key word being HOPE.

Thanks,
Craig

Thanks. I worked on the truck again today and stripped it down to bare frame so I can get started on the bridge kit and 4-link.

What application are your headers for? Are they the Hookers?

They are hookers. They are also a little dirty to be bolting back on to a fresh motor and tranny LOL.

Just a couple more pictures of the process. I got most of the 4-link tacked in and still have to hit the store to get more metal to finish the upper frame mounts. Next is the bridge kit and the bag brackets.
