Just recently, there has been a dead spot right when I hit the gas from an idle. Regardless if it's in gear or not. I thought it could be that the temperature was getting colder since I last tuned the carburetor. I re-tuned it, but it does the same thing. Could it be something as simple as replacing the air filter?

It's probably the accelerator pump in the carburetor.

Other possibilities.... points, timing, plugs...
