They make bigger turbos trust me I work on industrial generators and gas compressors the turbos are huge.
To safley run a turbo I would suggest forged pistons and make sure your timing is DEAD on!

Walk before you run.

Go buy an Impulse turbo and put that stuff on your motor or that motor in your truck.

Low boost you can use the cast pistons but if you want more you will need forged.

If you used a truck turbo you would have to rev the motor up to about 20,000 RPM to get some boost happening. A 1.8L motor just doesnt flow that much air.

Im setting a motor up to go in a KB29 (pup) chassis at the moment. Wouldnt be any different to a KB20 Luv.

I will do a write up, its not hard to do, you just need the right bits to bolt up.

Put that turbo in the bed along with the battery and fuel cell. :D Run the tubes right through the passenger side of the cab.

Go to ebay and type in "To4" you can pick one up all day long for under a hundred, and it should do all you want. It's small enough where you can spool it with your motor, but big enough to get 15 psi out of it. I was looking at a pair for my 350 swap. I'm getting ahead of myself though, step one is to get it running ;) Also like mentioned above, don't run more that 3 pounds or so on the stock pistons or you will burn a hole in um.
