I just acquired a 79 luv, its in pretty bad condition, but can be fixed...... the engine needs work, as well as the body.... also, does anybody know what is the biggest motor (or most efficient, for that matter) that can fit in a 79 luv?
thanks for the help.

The sky is the limit. We have members with big block's, a ton of small blocks, V-6's and 4 cylinders. It is up to you to install what you want for your application, no 2 owners think alike and need or want the same thing. The biggest thing is to think out what you want and make sure you cover all of the bases as far as motor, trans and rear end gears. I will tell you it is tuff for me to run around in my small block (406) LUV then jump right in my stock 4 cylinder LUV. If the smog laws here in California I would consider a V-6 with a automatic 4 speed overdrive trans.
