In about four weeks time Dashboard Restorations will be releasing a new reproduction dashboard pad to suit the CHEV LUV.

These units will be based on a fibre-glass frame and covered in high-density foam with a final heat vacuum formed vinyl overlay of Bridgestone UV protected finishing material in original grain.

The product is 100% guaranteed against faulty material or workmanship.

The indicative price range will be around US$520 - in the color of your choice. Our turnaround will be around 10 working days from order.

This indicative price is "all-inclusive" and covers airfreight from Australia and all duties and taxes. Orders can be placed through our US Agent located in WA.

Contact us for more details via our web-site -

Yes- This will be a new unit and an alternative to totally restoring a clients own dashboard pad.

Definately NOT a dash-cap.

Photographs will be posted on completion of our first production run in around three weeks. :D

Good news. :)

Quite a price tag but better than the alternative, which is, of course, nada!

Thanks for posting and please keep us updated.

yes quite a price tag.
but when you consider i covers air freight charge from Australia. the taxes an stuff. seems about right to me if its a well made high quality product. plus like Ben said....better than nada :D

i just wish my truck was worthy of a item like that

:D Just a quick update - the fibre glass base molds should be ready in around a week and production units should be up probably 14 days later. The prototype is first class. Price will be lower than first anticipated and looks like it will be suitable for forwarding by post. Will get a photograph up as soon as possible together with a firm unit price. They will be available in the color of choice. Jim

 G'Day, We will do our best to get the photographs and a final confirmed price up just as quick as we can. Our original price estimates included express airfreight in single units however, I think we may qualify for post which will be way cheaper. That can be confirmed soon.

The bottom line is - they will definately be cheaper than first estimated - pending a first production run the latest estimate is around sub US$300 ex factory Brisbane :P

Just a thought but if a group of you guys got together for a multi-unit order the freight would cheaper again - needs someone to coordinate that though!

Will keep you posted. Jim

Just a thought, and assuming our unit exceeds expectations of quality etc, maybe there is someone/company that would interested in acting as our local US Agent to market the units locally in North America:?: That would do away with having to place individual orders to Oz.

8O Anyone interested can contact us export@dashrestorations.com

We can promise you in advance that the units are first class and we are happy to provide a sample from our first production run for an evaluation by a "qualified" LUVER who can post an overview through this forum. Jim

mmm I see well, I'm a qualified LUVER of the LUV. If it's all good with everybody I would do the evaluation  My dash is in pretty rough shape.
